    Pilots badge for review

    Hello,

The photos are small but the price is right if original. Can't blame a guy for trying!

Please let me know what you think.

    Hi William,
I am definetly no expert, but I have scoured the web looking for pilot badges. The wreath on this one looks just like the wreath on a Juncker fake in the fake badges thread. Check it.

      Hi William,

The wreath and eagle actually appear to be the correct form for a B&NL Pilot's Badge. However there are problems with the reverse assembly, especially the hinge, and I think I can make out casting marks on the edges of the eagle/swas. Without significantly better pics and some dimensions (& a weight), I'm highly dubious of this example. B&NLs have benn WELL cast for a long time.

        Mike,
I may have cried wolf over the beveled edge. Is that normal?

          Mike,

I have requested more images from the seller as $250.00 shipped to my door seems too good to be true.

If any others out there would like to comment in the meantime, feel free.

          Thanks thus far.

          Bill

            hi Bill

I think something wrong with hinge and rivets. From the picture, eagle looks like white/ frosty. Extra pictures are needed.

              Yes, imo normal for a B&NL PIlot's Badge. Here are some links to a large (but slightly grainy) image;

It has all the traits of a B&NL except that the hinge appears different to known examples and the rivets appear a tad on the small size.

The strange colour MAY just be from flash but I would remain very suspicious until seeing LARGE; CLEAR photos.

Like Mike says, B&NLs have been wll cast for a while now.

                  more

                  Hello,

Here are some more photos. I asked for high-resolution pics that capture detail.........these are under 400kb

The seller might just be jerking me around now

                      Hello all,

Well, after asking for even better pictures the seller basically told me to get lost........

Glad you didn't get stuck with that "thing" William.

                          IMO "No Way Jose".

"Like Mike says, B&NLs have been well cast for a while now."

This I do know, the first pilot's badge I bought turned out to be one of those fakes. It looks better than the P.O.S. that Pandk is "pushing".
