    Luftwaffe Aerial Gunner / Flight Enginner badge by Juncker ..how many variants?

    I noticed these two badges have different eagles. Does anybody know how many variants there are of this badge by Juncker (buntmetal versions only)?

    Thanks,

    John

          The picture on Badge B came out dark but the eagle is very finely detailed. Reverse Badge B:

                  Tim,

                  J1= Thin wreath with cutout for eagle wing+ delicate eagle

                  J2= Thick wreath, no cutout, heavy eagle?

                  J3=? zincer?

                    I believe there are 4, the first 2 styles produced are very similar but have differences.

                      Skip,

                      The J3 was indeed buntmetal, Ed L has it now. Let me see if I can find an old picture.....here we go....

                        Another shot.
                        Rich, are you talking about an entirely different die, or the wreath being filed to fit the wing???

                          Hi Tim,
                          The one on the left is, of course, the standard 1st pattern. The one on the right is the one I think Rich is talking about. Either a variation on the 1st pat or a true 2nd pattern, which would make your line-up 1st, 3rd and 4th .

                          Warmest Regards ... John
