Opinion on luftwaffe pilot observer badge

    Hi,
I am looking on this luftwaffe pilot observer badge. You scould say that the badge is original because of the expertise from niemann but that could also be a fake. I would like an opinion on the originality of the badge.

    Hi,

No problems with this Pilot badge, its an original by an unknown maker.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

          Hi Robert,

I almost did write that, but I held back because I didn't think we were sure of that. I will be posting some additional information on Frank's thread about these in connection with an unmarked CCC. A little more information for the fire.......

I would like an opinion on the price of the badge. Could anyone give me that. I have seen the badge to a price in about 1100 USD is that a fair price?

A badge is only worth as much as a collector is willing to pay for it.

I would not be prepared to lay out $1100 for this badge.

Keep in mind...this is a pilot's badge, not a pilot-observer as the title of the thread indicates.
The expertise confirms this. Don't be fooled by lacquer that has turned a yellowish color.

I that condition 250.- EUR would be a fair price, 280.- EUR maximum. And even for those prices you can find a better condition one.
                    Cheers, Frank
