      The Pilot badge is looking like a Deumer made/finished badge. It has got the characteristics that I like. However I would like to see sharper photos of the front to say more.

      The observer badge is most likely going to get the down by the experts here I believe. Makers mark is way off.....

        I'm afraid that Felix could be correct . The Observer isn't saying Deumer to me and even if the parts were not Deumer the marker mark isn't either.

        Here's an example of how the mark should look.

              Hi Jeff. The Pilot Badge looks good , but I don't like the Observer badge.

                ...

                R Gordon;

                Thats a beauty you show us... Very nice Observer badge!

                The quality we have come to expect from Deumer...

                Cheers,

                Felix

                  Thanks Guys, the observer I had since the early 80's. In your opinions is it a total fake or could be real but messed with I.E. makers mark? The workmanship and detail are incredible on this badge. Looking thru some old threads earlier today I could of sworn I saw one identicle to this with the thumbs up? Anyway if you could elaborate more on this observer that would be great...Cheers...Jeff

                    Jeff;

                    Compare with R Gordons badge that is a text book Deumer. You will see so many differences. Look at the wreath.. its completely different. Im pretty sure the eagle is not as sharp in detail as well.

                    Search for Deumer and you will notice the distinctive catch. Im sure youre badge has not this feature.

                    Im sorry.

                      Please compare with the catch of your own pilot badge......

                        Yes Felix, the catch on my PB has more of a hooked end that everyone refers to as being classic deumer. The one on the observer does not have a hooked end, but I have seen this catch before...Cheers...Jeff

                          Hi Jeff. I am certain that your badge is a perfect match to this fake "Juncker" marked Observer badge volunteered by Jay Parisi in the "Fakes Gallery".
                          Look closely....Same eagle and same wreath...only with a "Juncker" mm.

                          Interesting that he had this badge for 20 years...about the same time as you have had yours.

                          P.S. We have many more threads and badges in the "Fakes Gallery". Unfortunately, you can't see all of the threads unless you know the "magic code".

                            Wow Richard! That has to be one of the most beautiful observers I've ever laid eyes on!

                              Hi Lorenzo, yes it does look exactly like that. Well I am glad I do not have to much money into this since I bought it that long ago. What sucks is about 4 or 5 years ago I bought a cased Junker one from a well known dealer because I wanted the case and I was going to keep the junker but the Duemer was heavier and appealed more to me so I sold the Junker and kept the case. The price I got in return for the Junker paid for the case. But I ended up selling a real one and keeping a fake one nonly to find out 5 years later . Oh well go figure, thats my luck! One out of two is better than none! Thanks gentleman .

                                Bad luck Jeff, that really sucks. Maybe the only consolation is that you have a really hard to find, authentic PB from Deumer.
