    para badge real or fake?

    Hello guys, I'm a new user and would like your option. What are your thoughts on this para badge? Real or fake?

    Hi,

    The Para you posted pixs of is a fake, real Juncker unqualified paras (black wreath) ; the easy tell is the third talon should be shorter and the 9 o'clock arm on the swaz should be crooked. I also don't like the wreath, hinge, rivets and all that good stuff. I don't have my laptop or I could post a pix of an original........sorry about that. But, do a search, thier are many original examples on older posts.

        Here you go, this one is an unqualified Para, the finish on the wreath is worn,that is why it looks silver.

            Dear Joe,

            I do not think black wreath or silver wreath has anything to do with "qualified or unqualified para" (what would that be anyway?). I know what you are thinking about but as far as I know this can only be applied to air gunner badges.
            Black or silver wreath on a para is more a time period or in some cases maker related thing, IMO.

              Your right, I was thinking same rule for ROGs........kinda funny though when you think about it.....unqualified Para


              Silver wreath = early.
