      This badge IS genuine, a Type I with a full MM. But I lament the removed swastika.

        thank you for the positiv answer.For me it is also worth to collect theseBadges because these soldiers had them on there Uniform still after War.

          Pilot Badge w/o swastika

          I've seen some of these badges (with the removed swastika) and am considering one - because my budget can tolerate them better than the undamaged ones. I prefer them to a replica because I too like knowing that they likely belonged to some pilot 60+ years ago.

          I'd be curious to hear from some of the experts here how much I should expect to pay for one like that shown on this post. I don't have much experience and just want to make sure I don't overspend if I go this route.
