Its not that secret of a fake. I know these to be fake as well. In fact I have handeled several quiet recently. They have been popping up on shows, fairs and markets as well as internet auction sites.

Its not a bad attempt. The wreath is very near to the authentic one. The eagle, although bearing some resemblence to the authentic one, is in fact totally different. Rear setup is not of an Assmann type, the rivets are totally wrong. Also no hand finishing evident.

Its a fake, no "could be real" about it IMO.
