    Dear Paul,

They all look good to me. Badges in posts #4 & #5 and #12 & #13 are by the same unknown maker.
Hinge on the zinc Deumer is a bit unusual, but IMO a legitimate variation.
    Cheers, Frank

How do 4&5 and 23&13 match? The hinges seem different to me.

          Dera Paul,

It is 4 & 5 and 12 & 13 that match. The hinge IS indeed different, but both were made by the "unknown maker" of the pilot's badges. Both hinges are among his variations and the catches are quite significant for him.
          Cheers, Frank

            Hello Paul,

I like all six of your Luftwaffe Badges. Very nice pieces.

Hi Tom and Frank. Thank you for the input and compliments.

Tom... It is nice to see a thread where one of the badges is not a problem.

Frank... I dont mean to be dense, but how can you tell those two badges were made by the same factory with the hinges being different... Again, not trying to be difficult. I just wanna learn something here

              Best regards

                Dear Paul,

It is not too hard and obvious if you know how to look at it. That pilot badge you have is attributed to this specific "unknown maker" of pilot's badges. We also know that he made para badges, P/O badges, observer badges (using the same wreath design) and also RO/AG badges, LW ground Assault badges and Flak badges.
If you look at the reverse setup of your Flak badge, it is a 100% match (both hinge and catch) compared to other pilot's badges by this maker. It is a very unique setup not used by other makers. This makes it quite easy to link all these "unknown maker" LW badges together. With all these LW badges in his portfolio, I am certain we are looking at a well known maker.
Here is a pilot's badge that matches yours in design and which has the same setup of your one Flak badge:

OK Frank, I do see. My God was I dense for not noticing!

                    Beautiful Pilots badge, BTW!

                    Best regards
