Need some help identifying KM badges

    Hello Guys,
Recently a collection of badges was offered to me. Came from an old 70´s- 80´s collection.
    Do they have a chance?

      Hi Paukenschlag,

Without views of the reverse, it's impossible to be 100% sure, but certainly don't buy them based upon these photos alone.

On the surface of things, they have a "post-war Souval" look to them, but reverse views are necessary to really tell the story.

      Best regards,
      ---Norm

        Agreed.

        Reverse pictures would help here.

        Cheers,Martin.

That really hurts when collectors refer to anything from the 70's and 80's as old. Maybe 50's, but 80's?

In any case, no badge can be determined based on the obverse (front) side only. Even if period, there might not be any hardware on the reverse.

They might even be glued onto a display board from what I am seeing. Got to see the reverse. John

              Yes, that hurts.
I was born in early 70's and I do not feel old...

had a close look at the badges. Indeed the majority was post war Souval.
But I do have some doubts on this Minesweeper. Does look real to me.
                Any opinions?

                    Hi Paukenschlag,

The badge itself is "wartime-compatible" in construction, but I suspect it was re-finished post-war as Souval/Umlauf were apt to do, probably in the 1960s along with the other KM badges you posted in this thread.

                    Best regards,
                    ---Norm

Please present better photos of the badges! Front and back. As far as I know, war time Souval Kriegsmarine badge look more bronce than gold.
