I am just browsing upcoming auctions in UK and came across E-Boat 2nd Pattern Badge which is offered on by the auction house link below.Seeking just to confirm my thoughts about authenticity

I vote for a hunk of junk. Looking at the arm of the swastika at the 9 oclock inner is sloppy, the bridging of the flag with the wreath, now RS had some that were like this but the reverse hardware was nothing like R.S. Produced. This is a frankenschiff. Not war time not original. Save your money.

This is just my opinion and observations.

I agree, it's a fake.

I agree that it is a postwar reproduction but there appears to be some kind of a maker mark,partly visible under the main pin.
