    The Post War Minesweeper Badge

Hi, I bought some time ago The Post War Minesweeper Badge and I need opinions. Good or bad? Theres a signature of maker on the back. It says:

    .... R
    . R E U
    ... U

(On shield) and beside: REU & CO
7072 REUBACH (Tiny inscription, but very detailed)
Link (The last picture of course ):

Is it rare? Was it worth it prince: 60 zł ( about 16$ )
I'am also almost sure it's made of lead. There is a posibility that they produced post war badges in lead?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,

That seems to be an inofficial veteran´s meeting badge.
    Cheers, Frank

            Hi,

I'd agree with Frank, it is probably some sort of Veteran's badge. I've seen other key-chain or ribbon mounts like this before (eg High Seas Fleet and U-boat) but I can't remember if they included the national eagle and swastika. Whatever it may be, I'm pretty certain it is NOT wartime produced. The maker on the reverse is unknown to me and lead badges are a BIG no-no.

                Hi,

I meant that Third Reich war badges were not mass produced in soft lead, so if you have a lead badge it's almost certainly post war.
