    Schwerin aux cruiser

    Hi Guys,

Could you have a look at this one please. I´m 90% confident its good but I do have a couple of questions:

    1) Previously it was said that Schwerin badges don´t have the flaw that Junckers do with the beard. In this photo it looks like there is a beard? Or is it just me...

    2) The badge is priced around the $350 mark and as such, for the condition, is this a bit steep?

    Many thanks in advance!

    And the reverse:

(sorry but I have no idea how to crop pics using Paint).

I think it's good and that (anymore) the price is not bad.

        Hi Angus,

good that you are back on bord mate.

Looks like an original Schwerin to me to, I sold my one of these after getting the buntmetal type.
Do we get to see a shot with the pin down?
        Price is reasonable nowadays.

          Thanks George!

@Skip, There´s no pin down shot available... Shame as I´d like to see where the pin and hinge connect... I´m still debating this one though as I´ve been out shopping a little too much already this month (1 x Coastal Art, 2 x PAB, 2 x IAB). I guess you could say it´s good to be back .

Out of curiosity whats the general relationship price and scarcity wise between the two types:

          Buntmetal vs Zinc?

          Thanks again to you both!

            Angus,

I think both types are very rare. When did you last see an authentic Schwerin Aux. Cruiser for sale at a dealers site?

I know I have´nt seen any anywere for ages. Buntmetal is more desirable of course but you are looking at 3x the cost.

I´ll ask you: When was the last time I looked at a dealers site?

I prefer the smaller "one man" web pages. Kind of like online classifieds (no not that type ) or a flea market.

              Cheers!

                Angus,
A good zinker thats just lost the finish. I would say that it is not a bad price either for an original
