Original and possibly made by Förster & Barth.

        Hi,

Looks like an nice honest unmarked L/21 (Foerster & Barth). I'd much rather see a zincer in this condition than one which has had the gilding re-applied.

Is it believed or suspected that Förster & Barth is the only maker to have used this pin assembly..which is also seen on a number of other Navy Badges?

                    Hi,

Secter, your example appears to have a two-tone gold finish, which is especially evident on the reverse. Dulled and worn gilt over most of the reverse but a thicker unworn finish on the edges of the reverse (matching the obverse). I assume from the images that it has been refinished?

                    Regards
