Naval Meissen Plate

Hi,

Not sure where else to place this...

Here is a nice Meissen plate which is not listed in any references as far as I know. The Arados are flying over an island which I am assuming is Helgoland(??).

Also attached is a picture of the box the plate was in when I picked it up from the post office.....thank goodness the plate was intact.

Very cool. I'm no expert on Meissen porcelain but the marking looks right for the era and it's really appropriate subject matter since that was the main seaplane for the KM during wartime. Since this is "Nr. 20" it would be nice to see numbers 1 through 19 for cross reference.

I agree it would be nice to know what Numbers 1-19 looked like. There are alot of plates being discovered that were not listed in the Duwe (??) book.

Looks like you dodged a bullet the way that box looks. Looks to me like it was done by somebody trying to dig into the box for goodies
