Regarding the non maker marked vertical pin types. Are there any known genuine types that have the scooped out back? or were they all flat?

Dear Simon,

In my opinion these zinkers you talk about are all flat backs and made by the same maker (marked with small o, which is niot neccessairly the maker´s mark, but could be a Steinhauer & Lück mark).

Thanks Frank, are all the non-marked zinkers or do they exist as buntmetall?

The flat backs are all zinc as far as I have experienced. The Schwerins I have seen were all marked (not flat, of course) and then there are the Bacquevilles.
I have never seen a Tombak one which wasn´t a Schwerin.
