Well, I never thought I'd ever find myself "defending" a Bacqueville , but I have to disagree. I don't see any casting pits in the reverse, only the bubbles in the finish that are appropriately hollow as determined by Andrei.
If this were some kind of new, modern reproduction then it would be ground-breaking in its technique to perfectly emulate the "Bacqueville" style in creating a new Minesweeper design and to reproduce the aging bubbles in the reverse finish. Anything's possible I suppose given advances in technology, but why go to all that trouble for a lousy Bacqueville that wasn't even an offficial award in the first place?
I'm not saying it's not a reproduction, just that it doesn't seem to be a new modern reproduction, and I'd lump it with all the other so-called "Bacquevilles" with the same caveats (unofficial, no award pieces, souvenir market, never in pre-1989 East Germany, etc. etc.). As such, IMO it has all the appeal to award collectors of a rare beer bottle cap to the general public.
Best regards,
