    U boot badge

    Hello,

    Could you give me your opinion about this U boot badge:
    Marked SCHWERIN BERLIN 68.
    I think it is a horrible fake, but others opinions would be greatly appreciated.

    My initial impressions were that it was a beaten up ground dug original, as the basemetal looks correct and the catch looks good but then I noted the absence of the keel flaw I look for on originals and also noted what appears to be a casting line all around the inner edge of the wreath. Without some oblique pics I'm now thinking it is a cast repro.
