Very impressive display. Could you take a shot of the reverse of the Kriegsmarine tally and post it? Very close up of one or two letters?

There were three types made during the war, I would like to be able to tell you which of three it was.

Your choices are gold wire, cellon, and cotton. Cotton, then cellon was issued. Gold wire was bought by the sailor on his own.

With clear images of the thread I can confirm it is cellon or cotton. John
