Mike, please do a search on this clasp. Your example is one of the worst copies I have seen in a long time. I will add a quick image, but this badge has been discussed in detail many times. John

It looks like a cast copy to me. The lettering is not correct and although I cannot tell fro sure from the pictures; it does not look zinc.
