    minesweeper question

just a quick question on an r.k. mineswqeeper.. is this badge made in a convex version? i am looking at one that looks o.k. but has a convex shape... comments welcomed.

Jim do you have pictures?I believe they were not manufactured in a convex form, but it was common for recipients to bend(vault)them to make a more "snug"fit in wear on their uniforms.I have 5 Minesweeper badges,3 Schwerins and 2 unmarked and all but one are "vaulted".Best wishes,Martin.

As Martin says, it´s quite common to find minesweeper badges vaulted for their holders. Almost everytime some trace of this handmade process appears. I don´t know makers who made a convex version.
