    estand sub clasp, opinions please.

Opinions on the sub clasp please. The flat wire catch is not what I am used to seeing, but I have seen few of these so my knowledge is not great.

    Pics to follow.

Both the flat and round wire catches are acceptable on this award.

After searching around I have yet to find an example of a second pattern with a flat wire catch. The first pattern clasps have them, but no example yet of the second pattern.

          Anyone else?

            Al,

Flat wire hooks are unusual but not unknown. If you look at the rest of the clasp it fits exactly to what a Schwerin UBoot clasp should look like and is, IMO, authentic.

The clasp should be on its way from Germany very soon

Thank you all for the help with this rare award and my collectors paranoia.
