    BKA opinions please

    Hi Guys

I have got this strange anti partisan badge which looks like it could be a corroded original and possibly refinished- it has these weird pock marks all over that looks like something has eaten into it- what do you think?

    Many thanks

    Patrick

      Hi Patrick,

I would say a badge which was stocked in very bad condition and was dipped afterwards. The quality of this silver finish is strong enough to survive the acid bath, the rottened and oxidized holes weren't making them looks very deep.

But as you know a nice original piece for sure!
      Kind regards,
      Giel

        Hi Patrick,

I think the entire badge was heavily cleaned and and scrubbed because it was ground dug. The cleaning, cleaned all the zinc pest out of the cavities leaving them appear more pitted than they really are. I feel the finish is original to the badge, and that is why its missing in the pits.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
