    could you please tell me about this GAB?

    Hi Max,

    Its a Rudolf Karneth I believe, but the obverse looks a little odd. I think it is the angle of the pic, can you shoot it more straight on?

    Finish is pretty much gone on the obverse unfortunately.

            The reverse looks fine, but I was looking for a nice straight on shot of the obverse

              Agreed. Shadows play a big part in hiding some of the details making it hard to see some distinguishing features on the obverse.

                  I'm with Tom. IMO this is a later production of the late war zinc GAB by RK. The earlier zinc badges by this firm had a "strong" finish and very "grooved" out backsides. Still a solid example with no "wash" remaining on the obverse, but can be still seen on the backside. Washes tended to absorb over time into the zinc base metal.
