    Infantry Assault Badge

    Hello,

    A friend asks me if the badge is good. What do you think?
    He has only two photos of poor quality.
    Apparently, there is no marking.

    I agree that the photos are poor quality.

    From those images, it is clear that the hinge and catch are not textbook, and incorrect for this style of badge. It is marked L/61 lightly behind the swas..

    From these pics, the badge does have some soft features, especially the outline, and for me would be suspect.

    Better pics needed.

      Don't like the catch and hinge.

      On the front, i notice a "bad zone" too, here in red.

        I am with Graeme and David. Definitely suspect. The features discussed likely point to a cast copy.

          I dont like it and i would not want it in my collection but the obverse details are real good for a cast fake.

          Beter pics are needed, cause it could be a fully crimped FLL with replaced hardware.

          Strange badge....

            Indeed, we see a mark L/61 on the back, I had not seen.
