    IAB mark?

this is what other IAB plate that came on the lot, is a little worse for conservation, has broken the lower latch pin massif body but no marker, but I think it could be S.H.u.Co. Sohni, Heubach & Co, which opinion do you have?
    Greetings

Looks like a good unknown maker made IAB. I always mix up this type of eagle design, bit I believe this is the design referred to as "slim stalk" IAB

    obviously, catch is missing

      Hi nostromo,

This is not a Shuco, rather a rare type of unmarked IAB likely made by the mysterious maker being the hollow and semi-hollow "H"-marked IABs. Here is one of my semi-hollow "H's for comparison.

A candidate for the possible maker of these "H" badges is Hammer & Sohn, based on similarities in the reverse hareware setup to several LGABs that were found in Hammer packets a few months back.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

        Hi,

It is an original IAB. This one is unmarked but is the same style as hollow IABs marked with an 'H' (maker unknown). Looks like a very good strike.

        Congrats,
        Eric

Shame the catch has broken off. If the remnants of the catch are original, this would be first time I have seen a circular catch plate or base of catch on any "H" variant IAB.
Looks like yours had a tough life and may have been painted with something in the distant past.

Regarding these "H" IABs, remember that the "H" located in the hollow wreath was used as the nickname for this IAB. We have no evidence that the maker of these begins with an "H".

Tom, please post pics of the LGABs and packets here for reference if you still have them. Cheers

          regards
          Graeme

              Hi Guys

I also think this one is the variant referred to as an "H".

These are hard to find and the details on yours are very nice. Shame about the catch.

              Best Regards, fischer

Nice one Alexander, a real beaut of such a rare IAB

Graeme, here is one of the LGABs with packet, marked for Hammer & Sohne. Collectors Guild had 4 of these for sale a few months ago, all found together (maybe part of a small hoard find or something).

                      Hi Tom

Thanks for posting the pics, it is always interesting when several badges are found together. The one you posted is in super condition as well....these do show up quite often, I believe (without the packets anyway).

Alexander - very nice example you have . On your marked "H" your catch does differ from the LGAB, and I believe my example has a similar catch to yours.

                      regards
