I was taking another look at the one I have seeing as this is the second JFS fake to show up on the forums this week, if I may ask, is it the pin that gave it away for most of you? I noticed the detail on this one is not all that bad (although from what I can see in the pic the head of the eagle looks bad).

I think a majority of the fakes are based on the JFS platform.
Just my opinion.

I would have to agree with you on that based on what I have seen, comparing the reverse I can see in addition to the shape of the pin the base of the catch is different too

I am happy with mine though, just got abit paranoid after seeing a few halfway decent (well in my still amatuer opinion atleast)

Guess my next pab purchase should be a Phillipe Deboch rather than an Aurich
