    Thanks guys...

boy... a bunch of Rob's here... including me

I think the certificate for the iron cross... is for the second class... but... the medal pinned on... is first class... and valuated.

I didn't take more photos of the wherpass.... since... I thought the soldiers name is all that counts... and could be researched.

I didn't know it stated the awards earned on pages 12-13. It's my fault I didn't take those images.

He was standing next to me... asking why am I taking photos. I told him... I wanted to research the soldier further.

      Juncker PAB

I think most PAB collectors would assume the numbered PAB in your pictures was manufactured by the Juncker company. Numbered PABs can be a ruff call sometimes, I would say this one is good, But wait for others. You are a very lucky Man.

The numbered pab is 100% original and as Dennis said made by Juncker. Very nice grouping!

Is it written in the wehrpass?
        Kind regards,
        Giel

Pages 12, 13, 32, and 33 to start with. Congratulations, Robert!

"From the woodwork" is an over used expression, but sounds like you really pulled it off. If there is a story to be told - any recollections of how the items were originally obtained - then please make sure you get them.

I'd wager it was from a home in Germany/occupied countries, and the WP was returned after the owner was KIA. Sadly, it's about the only way the medals, documents, and WP are found all togther.

              Regards, Robert

                Thanks guys for the comments.

The son-in-law told me that Siegfried died in the mid 1980's.

He also mentioned that he had a metal plate in his head/skull from an injury when his tank was hit.

I will post photos of the Wherpass now, with images of every page that has writing in it.

                Robert
