Here's the Pantzer Badge with still a nice amount silver left and nice frosting on the reverse.

Very nice IAB, but the PAB is bad I'm afraid
              Kind regards,

                Den,

                good find on the IAB.

To answer Phils question, yes, I have recently seen hundreds of this type of PAB

Since when is your name Den, Skipy

Skip is correct of course and it's not even that long ago that he found two of them and the both of us where staring at the pics scratching our heads. One looked fairly new and the other looked like it barely survived Kursk.

In the meantime these S&L mutants are flooding German auction sides and shows. First nobody ever saw them and in a few months time they are everywhere. Whoever is responsible for their production is following what is being said on the WAF. This PAB is based on the S&L. Only after Franks discovery during his GAB research, were these badges linked to S&L. Before that we refered to them as Zimmermann PAB's.

Funny thing now is that the only maker mark I have ever seen on these copies is L/16.

Sorry to hear Den about your PAB. But hey, congratulations on the IAB.

Ps. if any of the US members got this fake S&L, could you please PM me? I would like to post it on my web page in "Fakes" section.

                      Hi Guys,

Just a thought but look at the curl in the eagles beek.

Doesn't this remind you of something?

If you recognize it too I think we have a name for the little bugger

Ha, ha, i love these challenges, there is a "hair" in eagles beak, it reminds me a cigar, so how about "Churchill fake"!

How about "sour grapes" fake. Sure looks like this eagle had a mouthful of something sour.

I should've taken my sunglasses of or maybe my eyes are getting just as bad as Philippes I know the guy who sold it to me so I'm pretty sure I will get a refund, glad the IAB is good.
