Ok, it is time again to workout some conclusions here. What we have learned 165 posts later is, IMO very important.
    1) As Don was suspecting, Gablonez companies were collaborating together during badges production. The proof: Gablonez Industries.
    2) A.S. it is not the same company as AS in triangle.
    3) A.S. probably could be assigned to Adolf Scholze (no 100% proof yet). Thanks to SKIP we have 100% proof that A.S. is Adolf Scholze. THANKS SKIP!!!
    4) AS in triangle based on the new developments could be Adolf Seidel (no 100% proof yet). Not valid anymore! AS in triangle has nothing to do with Adolf Seidel - sorry my bad...
    5) More research must be done about Gablonez based companies. Field trip is strongly recommended.

Below, one more time I’m posting picture of Peter Seidel company trade mark (probably successor of Adolf Seidel Company) together with AS in triangle trade mark…Not valid anymore!

Anyone is more then welcome to correct or to add to this short list his own notes.<o =""></o><o ="">

      Guys,

this has been a most interesting thread but I think you are all jumping to conclusions a bit fast.

I phoned the Peter Seidel company and after telling them I was writing an article about metal production in Gablonz I was redirected to Karin Seidel who is the daughter of Peter Seidel the former owner and founder.
I explained about writing an article about metal production and her first reaction was that I was talking to the wrong firm, they have only ever manufactured glass and plastics and have never had anything to do with metal, her advice was to contact the company of J. Feix (JFS).
I did´nt leave it at that and asked if they had ever had a different company logo, maybe from a former owner with a "A" instead of "P" and possibly in a triangle. I received a negative answer and was also told that the firm was first founded in 1962. So looks like this angle can be closed out.

Sorry Robert, it was a good idea and good research on your part to find this conglomerate but Peter Seidel cannot be linked to AS.

I think we need to dig into the NeuGablonz Chamber of Commerce archives to find out which companies moved there during and after the war. There must be some public source of information we can access.

Well why pay for study trips when we have detective Skip.

            Thanks for the trouble Skip

So what do we have apart from knowing that A.S. and AS in triangle are two different makers?

Great job Skip! Thanks for your help! At least we know now for 100% that it was false theory. Skip, would it be possible to call Adolf Scholze (Phone: +49 (0)7171 2282) and ask them about their company logo (is it A.S. only or maybe AS in triangle)? I know, i'm "pushing" now...(but when i will finally meet with you one day in person, all beers are on me!).<o =""></o>

                Hi Robert,

Just talked to a Hr. Gottstein who has worked for Adolf Scholze the last 40 years and is now going into pension. He also investigated into the firms past history and told me a few details about the founding of the company in early 1900. Nowadays they are more technical design but also deliver stuff to the automobil industry
There logo is, and always has been "A.S."

Excellent!!! At least we have one more solid piece to the puzzle. Thanks Skip. I wonder if he saw some of the other trade marks if he would know who they belonged to???? AS (triangle) for instance.

                      AD Schwerdt, Stuttgart

                      Guys,
One more thing: in my opinion we have to forget about AD Schwerdt from <st1:city><st1 ="">Stuttgart</st1></st1:city>. This company just doesn’t fit in profile. <st1:city><st1 ="">Stuttgart</st1></st1:city> is way to far from Gablonz. We have to refocus on other companies from Gablonz area in order to identify AS in triangle...<o =""></o>

I've had a simular thought ever since I postulated the "Gablonzer Method" for crimping on these badges. That is why I would like to find out who AS (triangle) really belonged to.

Hr. Gottstein from Adolf Scholze agreed to have a look at the Logo if he recognizes it. I´ve sent him a FAX down 10 minutes ago.

                              Hi Skip,

                              Superb job my friend

While your at it make sure to show him the KM in triangle logo too. If he recognizes the AS in triangle I'm confident that he will know the other on too.

Can't wait to hear back from you and Hr Gottstein.
