    Ribbon bar with Volkspflege mini

    Hi Guys,

    I just picked up this one at German eBay.
    I´ve never seen a Volkspflege mini before. Maybe this is a unofficial device to distinguish all the different awards which were worn on the same Red Cross / Volkspflege ribbon. This guy served as civilian in WW1 (no Frontkämpferkreuz) and was probably a Red cross guy.
    Any opinions?

        Very nice! I've never seen one before either, though I have seen the M1937 Red Cross Medal mini-- there is one in the Ribbon Bar Article Devices Gallery under Minis.

        It looks brass in the scan-- has the silver finish evaporated off, or is that just tarnish?

        It is a very interesting trio of awards!

        PS Does this mean you are turning to The Dark Side like Stogie-Rick, and maybe NOW I will have a chance at a Württemberg Crown Order with swords ribbon bar?

                Excellent! I've been collecting ribbon bars for 35 years and never seen more than a literal handful of the 1937 medal devices... and now TWO of the ONLY Volkspflege medal minis I've ever seen!

                Which makes me wonder... since there are "Kleindekoration" devices for the Commander grades of Red Cross/Volkspflege (gold wreath with black enamelled swastika, can be seen 500% closeup in The Ribbon Bar Article), I wonder IF there was a ribbon device for the enamelled CROSS class of either/both too?

                    Nice miniatures. In Germany, the minis are highly collectible! American collectors do not seem to hold them in high regard though!

                      Never seen a Volkspflege cross mini. This semi-official minis were also existing for other awards. Who can post other pics?

                              The bar is a bit out of the RULES, normally the KVK medal should have the 1st place.
