    Ok here is my list

    1) IC II (1914)
    2) KVK II without swords
    3) Saxony Albrechts-Orden
    4) Hindy cross with swords
    5) LS Award
    6) Ls Award
    7) 1st ockober medal
    8) not 100% on this one (could be a Red cross medal or such . It doesn't look faded so it might be a forgen medal )
    9) Spain Military Merit Order

No. 8 is the ribbon for the Prussian Red Eagle Order. However, given its placement, it could be a "filler ribbon" for something foreign, such as the Spanish Order of Isabella the Catholic.

The Saxon Order of Albert is 1st Class with Crown and Swords.

      Kind regards,
      Pierce

Well we can rule out Luftwaffe (from the LS awards) and as he has a Saxon award the Krigsmarine would be a long shot so we can be fairly sure that this was a Herr officer.

Well we know he was most likely a line/regimental officer (major perhaps) in a Saxon regiment or staff in WWI from the Saxon order.

With the 12 years service combination I would guess after WWI returned to civi street and was as recalled to colours sometime after the 33 rise to power.

His service in Spain suggest it was during the later part of the conflict, the Spanish Order of Isabella the Catholic was only reinstated in late 38 and was normally awarded with the Spain Military Merit Order but only of officers of higher rank. So I would guess he was there some time after 38 and he was a least a lt. Col or above. Not in a fighting unit but higher staff I would guess.

As he has the KVK no swords I would guess some sort of Admin or Logistics staff type for his WWII service.
