I wonder if RonR or anyone has one that's been given the thumbs up? Not sure I've ever seen any SS mini on a ribbon bar given the ok on here.

There have been a few...very few SS ribbon bars that have received the ok here. One came with a picture of the bar in wear.

Hi Gary, I would need a provenance before I paid an 'SS premium' … 99.9% are just ruined normal bars. The bar I know which has a cast iron 1st/12th SS provenance has no device on the long service ribbon.

A search just turned up more fakes/Ohio bars. Would very much like to see a genuine specimen if anyone has one out there.

Exotic looking fake ribbon bars which originate from the Ohio area … typical symptoms are an overdose of miniature devices and foreign ribbons.

The expression 'Too good to be true' applies.
