    Luftschutz Medal Bar

    Hello Gents,

i have a chance to buy this very good condition medal bar.
I have not really a clue what to offer. I do not collect medal bars and would only buy to resell it. Maybe someone can give me hint what a good offer could be? Condition looks awesome. I have only one photo but i know the source and im sure it is all ok with it.
    TIA
    Andreas

It looks a stunning bar, but I can't be of help for its value.

    My books:

    - THE WEHRPAß & SOLDBUCH OF THE WH
    - THE SS TK RING
    - THE ITALIAN-GERMAN MEDAL
    - THE ANTI PARTISAN BADGE
    - THE AWARDS OF THE LW

    and more!

      Very nice!

      Hello Andreas,

That is one beautiful medal bar. In my opinion, the value of the four-placer alone is between $275-300. The earlier, three-placer was stripped of its medals and eagle devices to make the four-placer upgrade. It still has a value of perhaps $50 and I would add another $50 for the box and edelweiß insignia. For everything shown I would place its value at $350-400.

      Best regards,
      Tom

                  Hi Andreas,

Glad you were able to get that really nice medal bar. It is a textbook assembly by Wolfgang Robert Schwarz in Berlin-Wedding. Schwarz typically used green wool felt as their backing material and they used a pinking shear cut to both the top and bottom edges of the backing cloth. And the aluminum button with the name was another standard feature.

                  Best regards,
                  Tom

The shop of Wolfgang Robert Schwarz was located at N65 Müllerstraße 175 in Berlin-Wedding. Here is a picture of Müllerstraße 175 via Google Maps, circa 2008. The shop is no longer there, but your medal bar was assembled at this location.

                    Best regards,
                    Tom

                        Hi Andreas

                        Very beautiful looking set

For me, having the maker label to the reverse makes it that little more desirable.

                        thanks for showing
                        regards

                          Great medal bar!!
I thought you might find this one interesting too.....
Its a single mount bar by the same retailer, where the veteran has in the postwar years, swapped the original TR EK2 for a 1957 Deumer........

Here are two other bars assembled by Wolfgang Robert Schwarz. You can see that the assembly characteristics are very consistent.
