    I had a friend tell me that these are fakes. I was curious to see everyone's else's opinions.

        Originals (being a Post '42 award) were all zinc, yours clearly aren't so that would be a big problem for me.

          I agree
          All made in zinc, "1" mark marked or unmarked pieces, generally with few or nothing of bath.
          This pieces are no good

          A example for my bar collection..... belonged to a spanish oberfelwebel
          ("Blue division")

            I always thought there were two makers of these, German "quality" pieces (Tombak) & poorly made Spanish zinc pieces?

              The zinc pieces are by Deschler.
