Wehrmacht Long Service medal 4 years with mm L/58 review

Hí Guys
Now arrived to me this the 4 years Wehrmacht Long Service medal,this is a simple award but I think a very nice so too.

on the ring have a mm L/58 marked mark ,and I such piece yet never saw ago.


What do you think about it ?

The grouping looks ok too me.

As for the makers mark I just don't know.

These things are not usually marked.

All I can say is the strike of the mark looks a little light.

May have been added by someone later in the medals life.

I agree with you ,that these medals not common the marked mark ,but I found some medal type already then and they was mm ,and this the mm type used the EK2 too

Isnt this L/58 punze considered post war ?

I unfortunately can only speak for the Ostmedaille.
There are very rare OMs with the this type of L/58 punze, they were made post war by Souval on original dyes.

An original medal but the ring is a later replacement in my opinion.

I HATE Souval stuff and wouldn't entertain it in my collection.

IMO this is a classic example of wartime leftover of the Souval production.
Maker mark is postwar and so it is the pin.
Souval did it several times, put his post war mm on wartime leftovers.
IMO ribbon and medal are ok.

I full agree with you ,same the situation that EK2 case,because there too these marked mark pieces after war piece ,but there the cross too after war type
