SS 8 Year Opinions please

Hi

I just picked up this SS 8 year award and would like your opinions please. I have carried out a check on SS 8 year and have read the various threads.
I think this one is o.k. as the jump ring is correct and the fine random stipiling there. I have tried to show the stipiling but am having problems getting my camera to pick it up, I took a photo with the flash and if you blow it up you can just make out the stipiling, the other two images are scans and show the true colour.
The medal came with the ribbon in the final scan, I don't have a blacklight so I don't know if it's original.

Hi Les,

Textbook and very nice........ .

Not much point blacklighting the ribbon.That cornflower blue is in the in the wrong spectrum for UV.
Blacklighting is generally only relevant for White items.
Burn test a small sample and the ribbon should be approximately 35mm wide.

Thanks for the ultra fast reply.
The ribon measures 35 from loop to loop. I did a burn test on a small piece and when lit it burned not melted and turned to powder

That explains it then. The other photos weren't so good as these. The other one was an original as well, from the same dies.
