25yr SS LS ribbon opinions

Hi,

I was sent me following pics of a piece of 25yr SS LS ribbon. The owner is wondering about authenticity. This is not my area so posting some pics for him. Any opinions, preferably giving a reason, appreciated.

The embroidery looks original so far, but the ageing looks a wee bit contrived...can we get a pic of the reverse of the embroidery?

The reverse of the embroidery looks correct.
The ribbon looks like it has been kicked up & down the street.
