25yr Faithful Service Medal

Hello gentlemen. I am a novice when it comes to medals. I am a firearm collector who happened to acquire a few medals that came in a package deal with a fabulous 1936 Sauer S/147 Mauser. The other two medals that came with this one are certainly fake but I am not sure about this 25 year faithful service medal. Any opinions would be much appreciated. Thank you.

It's an original 25-Year Faithful Service Decoration and an original box, maker-marked to Rudolf Wächtler & Lange.

Yep, sweet W&L set I paid €45 for my mint set so yours is worth slightly less than that.

Here are the two fakes that came with the lot. A Luftschutz first class and a Customs long service medal.

Yes they are unfortunately! at least the FS25 is good!

I dislike the word "Rare" as its used far to often but the Luftshutz first class falls into the "Less common" category for sure and they fetch a pretty penny when they are original.

Yes, sadly the Luftschutze I is a fake, as is the ribbon. Here's mine ..



(the LSII paper packet is a modern replacement for storage purposes ) Note the ribbon edge colours, the shade of 'Mauve' and it's suspension system.

The Customs award I'll leave others to comment on.
