      No Rumanian awards there.

      In my opinion:

      EK 2 (1914)
      Reußische Ehrenkreuz (??)
      Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer
      Civil Service award
      Eiserner Halbmond (Turkey) ?

This is just my quick take - the professionals here will help you further.

I believe the last two ribbons on the bar are actually of Imperial Russia and awarded to this German recipient in peacetime, in the early 1900s, sometime prior to the start of WW1. The ribbon is that of the Order of St. Stanislaus, so this could potentially be two separate bestowals of the Order of St. Stanislaus, if this guy was a commissioned officer at the time, or if he was of some civilian equivalency to officer rank (possibly a diplomat or other civil official). It is also possible (and probably more likely) that these ribbons represent two bestowals of the Tsar Nicholas II Medal for Zeal. This medal used the same ribbon as the Order of St Stanislaus. There were four classes of this medal (large gold, small gold, large silver, and small silver) so it is very possible that the guy was awarded two different classes. These medals would have gone to enlisted/NCOs as well as to lesser officials of non-officer equivalency.

        Best regards,
        Tom

          Hi Tom,

this thought had crossed my mine but I did not go back prior to WW 1. Perhaps in relation to the Russo Sino War? I think you are right here.
