Close combat "paper"
Awhile back I picked up some costal artillary photo's of a unit that intercepted a small russian boat bringing a 12 man team onto a beach in the "krim". The photo's are great and show the team and the boat wiped out!
The item of interest to members of this board ia a small piece of paper that came with the photo's. The paper is a 25 day log sheet used to fill out and verify a soldiers "close combat days".
It is original and came with the veterans photo's. I also have the post war address label which I will be used in order to write him.
If anyone wants a scan I would be happy to provide him with that.
I'm new to the board. I long a go put all these badges and medals
away and focused on other things. Much of my stuff was given to me by my Fathers friends when I was a child growing up around military bases.
