Memel Medal Bar

I've added another bar to my Memel collection.

I knew the Medal was made by Petz & Lorenz before I bought it.

I could not tell if it was a Type 1 or a Type 2.

Well it turns out that it is a Type 2 which I did not have before I got this bar.

I am very happy.

Slight difference when you actually look at them in hand.

What's missing on the type 2 are the initials RK just to the right of the figure on the right(just above his foot).

Never seen that before. And there actually was a short but confusing second before the name Richard Klein popped up in my head.

Do you (or anybody else) have a good close up pic of the initials, I´d really want to see it.

It's really tough to get a good picture of the 'RK'.

If you have the medal in hand and you use a loop it easy to see the letters.

If you were looking at the medal without a loop the 'RK' looks like a flaw but it really isn't.

There are a couple of tinies in Antonio's book that clearly show the 'RK' but again difficult to get a good photo of.

Great medal bar Wayne! I really love it!

First picture shows the initials "RK" in P&L Memels type I.
Second picture is of a table commemorative medal of the Reichsparteitag: same obverse design of the Flower War Medals with the "RK" in the same position of the P&L Memel type I.
(Both are taken from the Memel book).
