What a surprise! Milch (see pic) is another recipient... like Göring!
Yes! The 2. Modell was the type awarded between 1864 and 1935. A number of the Nazi hierarchy were awarded these in the 1930s. The last award apparently in 1935 by Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.

What a great picture of Friedrich Olbricht, with his daughter, Rosemarie, and son-in-law, Oberleutnant Friedrich Georgi. Taken in July of 1942 at his daughter's wedding. Here is a picture that was taken on the same day. It can be found in, Codename Valkyrie: General Friedrich Olbricht and the Plot against Hitler, by Helena Schrader. (Photo credited to Dr. Friedrich Georgi.) I believe these are all foreign order breast stars, but I have not really made an effort to ID them. All of the readily available sources make mention of only his German orders & decorations, but he obviously has some foreign decorations on his Ordensschnalle as well as those pinback breast stars.
BTW: I highly recommend the book cited above. It is well-written and gives great insight to a very brave man, whose roll in history has typically been down-played by most accounts.
