Panzer badge in box named, original? Help appreciated!!

    Hi all,

I was recently offered a giant group and am quite concerned about its authenticity. Although I love reading up and buying books on fakes I often come here for help, as you guys are so knowledgeable. Belonged, supposedly, to: Schulz, Gerhand, 08.05.1944, SS-Unterstumfuhrer, 6./SS-Pz.Gren.Rgt. "Der Fuhrer"

I have posted pictures of the entire group here: the prices near the medals are old and were put there some time ago for research I think.

The Panzer Assault badge is in the box, I still need to request an additional photo but so far have not had chance to. Does it look OK?

    Cheers

without looking at the back, any chance on the badge? Just let the seller know the other items were fake

I would pass the entire group. Save your money.

        My books:

        - THE WEHRPAß & SOLDBUCH OF THE WH
        - THE SS TK RING
        - THE ITALIAN-GERMAN MEDAL
        - THE ANTI PARTISAN BADGE
        - THE AWARDS OF THE LW

        and more!

I'd say the panzer badge is fake as well just based on the front. I'd be curious to see the close combat clasp up close. I wouldn't discount the whole lot based on one badge, but it's not a good sign to say the least and the low prices are also somewhat of a red flag

I would shop elsewhere. The whole group is suspect.

                $1000

S1000 for a KC? That's $910 too much for a reproduction. Doesn't sound good, does it?

Looks like the typical Bazaar listing!

Agreed that the PAB is a fake.

Yes! Both the box and the Panzer Assault Badge are fakes. The badge is the well-known "blob" fake.

I wouldn't have much hope for the other items either.

                      Best regards,

Correct, my friend. A typical ''scrawl'' fake carton

These surfaced a few years ago - as Rene will recall also - and others that comprise in this fake series are notably for the IAB and GAB, too.

                        Kind regards,

                        Marcus
