    Ribbon bar

Please identify/describe what each ribbon is/means as well as each of their 'extras'. I've seen each ribbon on the net with and without the extra ornamentation.

      Hi!

The middle blue ribbon is used for most long service medals, with a
device to tell in which branch the recipient served, army, luftwaffe, police etc.

To be a little more exact the third ribbon is

The October 1 1938 Commemorative Medal
(Die Medaille zur Erinnering an den 1 Oktober 1939)

The Medal commemorating the return of the Sudentenland to Germany.

The Prague bar was added if the recipient also participated in the creation of the protectorates of Bohemia and Moravia.

So the holder of this bar was in the Luftwaffe, was decorated for some specific action in the field but not necessary in the face of the enemy, was an NCO with 4 or more years of service but not less than 8, or an officer with 8 years or service but less than 12 and participated in the return of the Sudentenland and the creation of the protectorates.

I would just like to add that it is a nice original ribbon bar.

              Kind regards
