1937 Lifesaving Medal

Been researching this medal and would appreciate some advice from some more experienced members.
The rim of this one is not marked. Does that mean this is a private purchase medal or were some just not marked?
The ribbon does not glow.
As always your comments are valued.

Well from what I know if the medal was presented it was always engraved/stamped with a name.

As well I do not like the rim above the eagle's head and the details do not look as sharp as others I have seen.

In my experience, the main part of these medals haven´t the mark on the rim

I have seen several cases for these and yours in consistent as to what was issued. All the ones I have seen have the horizontal push button like the one shown.

These medals should very crisp in their striking...seems like yours is okay. I have seen some with distortion in the rings on the rim near the loop so IMO this may not mean much.

I read somewhere that early made pieces had the Prussian mint mark (if you search on my handle I posted one recently where you can see the mark), but later war issues were largely abscent of markings.

Closer pics would help, but I think this set looks pretty good IMHO.

You can be sure, Paul. It´s a very nice, rare and original set. No doubt. This distortion on the rim just below the ring is very tipical in a lot of civil-political medals from the 30´s. I supose is a mark made for the tools of some makers when fixing the ring. No MM on the case?

Nope no MM on the case.
I got another very similar case years ago in my "junk drawer". Are these cases considered Prussian? They seem very unique?

I´ve seen at least two other Lifesaving medals with this case in the last decade. Both without MM in the case and in the medal, unfortunately.
