Hindenberg Cross

Hi guys

I am intersted in purchasing this cross and would like your feedback.

Direct from Germany. Original "Ehrenkreuz fur Frontkampfer", Vets. medal/Hindenburg or Honour Cross. "Court mounted". Good condition. Makers mark "JK, in a triangle". Ribbon, with swords, sewn onto a metal plate, with pin & clasp. Some staining to edges of ribbon

I don't see anything wrong with it. (And even though it might be a borderline "Cross of the Wehrmacht", the "General Awards Forum" is the designated place for discussing these, so I'll move this thread there. )

Nice

It's a good looking cross to me. A nice mounting, good condition, I like the swords on the ribbon, and the slight staining just gives it character. I'd not pay more than 15 Pounds for it though.

to my knowledge there are no fakes of this cross on the market - only, that the version without swords made out of the one with swords (but the detailing of the wreath is a little bit different) and so possible to detect.
