Gold L/14 Wound badge?

<O</OTheres been some suggestions that this badge might not be good, so here it is up for discussion. What are your opinions on this L/14 Wound badge?

It came for a military auction house in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:country-region><ST1England</ST1</st1:country-region>

The pin and catch assembly looks like the Floch style used on EK 1's Regards Chris

Albert and Chris are right. These can also be found with what appear to be scorch marks around the hook and hinge too.

I thought it was a good one because of its overall build quality and detail but i guess its kinda like flocks EK 1s they are pretty good, Do you think our friend Mr. Flock is responsible for this atrocity ?

This is the best KNOWN fake would badge out there. I have found it at just about every show that I have attended. I've even found on fellow members sites for sale. Good dealears have been taken in by this badge. It is that good. If not for the hinge and pin set up in conjunction with the high set catch it would be fool proof.

Agree. No original wound badges have that type of setup. Unfortunately many have been bitten in the ass by this particular fake. Even Chris Ailsby pictures this badge as authentic in one of his awards books. It has become very well known in recent years, same as the 65 with the line above the hinge.
