I am moderately new to ribbon bars but this one looks to good to be true...lottsa nice attachments...including an eagle that is way too big!

Is it worth the $30. initial offering (probably not)

Anybody have any opinions????

I'm torn between the Ed McMahon or Jolly Green Giant versions of "uh-hu-huh-ho-ho-ho." This is a truly HORRIBLE one, and thanks for pointing it out-- I haven't been over to eBay for too long, I guess.

What we have here is a half height bar (a type I had not previously seen faked) BUT--

1) WW1 Saxe-Meiningen War Honor Cross/Medal: with totally incorrect bronze swords,
2) WW1 Hamburg Hanseatic Cross,
3) WW1 Prussian War Effort Cross: with totally incorrect swords,
4) WW1 AUSTRIAN Karl Troop Cross: yes, awarded to some Germans "on loan," but note not only no WW1 Iron Cross on this bar with combat awards from 3 other WW1 German states, but no WW1 Hindenburg Cross!!!!!,
5) 1930s+ BULGARIAN WW1 Commemorative Medal: with totally incorrect 1914 Saxon-type EK2 mini (!!!!),
6) WW1 Mecklenburgs war ribbon: with totally incorrect swords,
7) NSDAP (!!!) 15 years long service cross: with 25 mm size LW 4 years eagle.
8) 1941/42 East Medal, and
9) 1919-21 Silesian Eagle 2nd Class: with totally incorrect lapel bow device of silver crossed swords and what appears to be a M1957 silver wound badge.

This might once have even been "worth" the scrap value of the parts, if so many of the teeny ribbon pieces had not been completely ruined by jamming on devices where there never were any.

This is just a new version of the old "Where Eagles Dare" sort of horror that would have gotten any Allied agent wearing such an impossible combination shot on sight!

We will also have a very large article on this subject, 1914-1945 on the dues paying Association Members Only side when Seba gets through magically converting it to postable version.

There is too much money being wasted on mass produced fraud and fantasy crap out there. The butchery of usually original left over stock is appalling....

I like the Centennial Ribbon with the crossed swords-Silver wound badge from an aold buttonier as a device. Worth buying just for that comic-factor!! NOT
