    A Few Questions....

    Hey Guys,
I have a few questions for you today. First off, is there any way I could buy a backing for a 2 place medal bar and replace the backing of an old one? I bought a 4 and 12 year long service medal grouping a month ago and it came with no backing. I really need a backing for it so I can pin it up to display it. Anyone have any ideas on where to get one from?
Also, I'm trying to finish my DRL set. I need a Gold DRL Badge, Gold and bronze stick pin, and Gold Cloth badge. I haven't seen them and am just wondering if they are very expensive? I'm sure the stick pins aren't bad, but what about the other two? Thanks again for your help guys.

Getting a backing alone is difficult. I think you must get a cheap two-places bar in some place as e-stand in instance, and do the replacements as you wish
Obviously, the golden DRL is the rarest and most expensive of all the set, including badges in itself, cloth badge and stick pin. You must pay more money for them than for the silver and bronze badges, and be patient to locate them. Look in the main dealers websites if you are hurry, but be prepared to pay more than waiting for someone which post it in the e-stand.

My opinion- leave the bar as it is and DO NOT take the backing off another medal bar as the member above has suggested!! The other alternative is to get a piece of felt or something and sew it on but I really would leave it.

What are you displaying it on? Maybe you could sew some loops on to it and hang the medal bar by its pin.

      Kind regards
      Pierce

I would never mess with other medal bars but instead leave them like they are. It's a pity the backing is gone but so be it. Better one without backing than two messed with medal bars
