    Unusual 25000 Badge/Award

My great Uncle who was a 76th Division vet past away recently and when cleaning his house I found a box of items he brought back with him and I was hoping someone could identify this odd badge/award. It is 125mm across by 85mm high.

I've never seen this one before and I am wondering how rare and/or valuable it may be let alone what it was for.

    Thanks,
    Eric

    Looks like an NSKK eagle.

    Maybe 25,000 Kms?

Agree, NSKK driving award that would be attached to the grill of a car.

Here are two post war Volkswagen 100,000 mile badges. One made in Ludenscheid and the other depicting St. Christopher. Obviously for safe driving with out accidents. Very well made badges. The Afrika Korps veterans organization contracted to have these very nice reunion car tags made. Same system, screw it to your grill.

Sorry for the first bad snap. Here is a better one of the VW Logo and then a selection of the Afrika Korps Veterans Car plaques.

Don't know about rarity of yours, but looks extremly well made!

Thanks Stick! The AK boys really put some money into their reunion badges. What really makes this collection for me was to find out through the WAF AK Gurus that the cuff tittle is a period piece! What is also nice is that there are the post war stick pins for not only the AK Verband but also Panzer regiments and stick pins from the desert rats. One or the other must haave been guests at each others post war reunions.
